Transforming spaces
Architecture and architectural visualizations are indeed our main areas of activity, but we never shy away from interesting projects outside our core field. Such was the case when we received a phone call from the owners of a wallpaper and concrete overlay company based in Frankfurt, inquiring about our services. Curious about the details? Read on!
Cover-Up Design from Frankfurt specializes in designing and producing wallpapers and concrete overlays. At the beginning of 2024, they reached out to us, informing us that they were in the process of designing a new website and were impressed with our visualizations. They asked us to prepare a proposal for a 3D animation showcasing the transformation of an old bathroom into a new one, utilizing their concrete overlays and wallpapers.,The project was divided into three stages: The first task was to create a conceptual design of an old bathroom, typical of Germany in the 1970s, characterized by green hues and geometric motifs. We were given no specific guidelines regarding the room’s dimensions, layout, or bathroom fixtures – our only limit was our imagination. After conducting thorough research online, we created a visualization depicting our vision of a 1970s bathroom, which was very well-received. Here’s the result:
The next step was to design the modern version of the same bathroom. We were responsible for selecting the color scheme, modern fixtures, and lighting – the only elements provided by the clients were the wallpaper and the type of concrete overlay, which are their specialties. Here’s the final version:
After completing the project consultation phase, we moved on to the main task: creating a 3D animation to creatively showcase the room’s transformation. The animation depicted the old tiles being chipped away, old lights disappearing, the bathtub sinking, and so on. Modern furnishings appeared in place of the old ones. We present the final animation below and hope you enjoy it!
